From the teenage indie kicks of their debut; to the sparse, timeless folk of last summer's top ten album, 'Flaws' (nominated for an Ivor Novello Award); the quartet open a new and beguiling chapter with, 'A Different Kind of Fix', released this August one that cements their place at the very forefront of British bands in 2011.

New single, 'Shuffle', emerges from a looped piano sample to burst forth into one the band's biggest songs to date. The single will be premiered on June 22nd by Zane Lowe on Radio 1 and he has already been declared it the SONG OF THE YEAR. Here it at Queens' May Ball first...


One of the hottest acts to emerge in 2011. Alex Clare has teamed up with the two superstar DJ/Producers of Major Lazer: Diplo and Switch to produce his eagerly awaited debut album "The Lateness of the Hour" (out in July). The combination of his strong soulful vocals and everything from hulking dubstep basslines to angsty rock guitars and reggaeton beats has created genuine buzz for this 25 year old Londoner. Bompas & Parr designs spectacular food experiences often working on an architectural scale with cutting edge technology. Self proclaimed 'Jelly Mongers', Bompas & Parr will be serving both Jelly and Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream to Queens' May Ball. Named by the Independent as one of "The 15 people who will define the future of arts in Britain", Bompas & Parr are renowned for their spectacular dining events and elaborate culinary concoctions.

Beyond their over-the-top happenings, Bompas & Parr are most well known as the creators of innovative flavored gelatins (aka jellies), infusing their jelly with flavors both sublime and bizarre, molded in myriad shapes and sizes for all occasions (weddings, funerals, the sinking of the Titanic).


Since his first gig in 2008 Josh Widdicombe has had a remarkable impact on the comedy circuit. In just three years he has been named FHM Stand Up Hero Champion, Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year and made it to the final of the prestigious 'So You Think You're Funny' competition at the Edinburgh Fringe. Now regarded as one of the best up-and-coming acts on the UK circuit Josh Widdicombe is in constant demand at clubs and theatres across Britain and has made recent appearences on Channel 4's 'Stand Up for the Week' and '8 out of 10 Cats'.

In the words of The Times, "Josh Widdicombe has the sort of gentle confidence, low-key charisma and charm which could see him selling out enormous stadiums in a couple of years".


As one of the freshest and most exciting DJs and Producers this decade, Breakage, aka James Boyle, has gone from strength to strength as his singles and remixes set the clubs and radiowaves alight. Moving effortlessly through styles from drum and bass to dubstep, Breakage has proved himself to be one of the most versatile operators in either scene to date.

To quote a certain Mr. Roots Manuva... "Breakage is a man with an ear for deep, deep, sub-sonic frequencies. He goes in low. I thinking he's talking to sea-life. He's talking to the squid".

OLUGBENGA (Metronomy)

London-based remixer, producer, DJ, bassist and singer OLUGBENGA is a man of many musical talents. Between bouts of touring the world as a member of Metronomy, he's established a fearsome reputation as a DJ, playing out weaving, high-speed selection of his edits, mash-ups, remixes and original tracks at club nights and events around the globe.
